SEVCA relies on approximately 80% of its funding from state and federal contracts and grants. In difficult economic times it becomes increasingly important for human service agencies to seek assistance from private sources to protect their financial viability.
Along with our entrepreneurial activities such as the Thrift Stores and the BEST Program, SEVCA is actively seeking funding from the community via capital campaigns, fundraising events and soliciting contributions from local towns and individual benefactors.
Annual Flea Market
The success of our fundraising activities cannot be measured in dollars alone. The community awareness of SEVCA’s programs and goodwill they generate are invaluable.
The fundraising events such as the annual Flea Market and golf tournament attract hundreds of people from the community.
Not only do they generate much needed unrestricted income, but they bring businessmen, politicians, board
members, staff, clients and the community at large together to share in a common purpose.
